01 · The problem
Families wanted to assemble a memorial video together from photographs and clips held on different phones, in different formats, at different qualities.

02 · What I decided
Do the transcoding server-side and treat format chaos as the normal case rather than the error case. Anything that asks a grieving family to convert a file before uploading it has already failed.

A working editor in the browser, free at the point of use, built solo across five months.
